Habitat for Humanity of Williamson County is hosting their fourth annual Hammers and High Heels event Thursday, May 1st at the Factory.

The event will run from 6p-9:30p and include food booths from local restaurants, live music, drinks and a silent auction. All funds go directly to build a home through Habitat’s Women Build Program.

Women Build is a Habitat Build where women of all walks of life come together to address the housing crisis that faces many of the women and children of Williamson County. This year’s home will be presented to Nikki Jones and her three children: Ayana (11), James (8) and Nicolas (5). Nikki has worked for Williamson Medical Center for the past seven years and believes homeownership will bring an added layer of stability for her family.

For each build, $70,000 must be raised for building materials. So far, $20,000 has been raised.

“Every year we have great event, but this year’s Hammers and High Heels is not to be missed,” notes Habitat Williamson Director of Communications Jennee Galland. “In addition to the great food and drinks from local favorites like Chef’s Market, TomKats Catering, Finezza, we are excited to have an amazing line up of award-winning singer/songwriters who are donating their time for Habitat. Deana Carter will be performing her hit Strawberry Wine, Danny Myrick will sing She’s Country made famous by Jason Aldean, and I am sure we all will be joining in with Earl Bud Lee’s Garth Brook classic Friends in Low Places. We have a lot of great surprises in store, so please join us for a fun night in support of Habitat’s Women Build!”

Advance tickets are only $35 and can be purchased online at womenbuildwilliamson.eventbrite.com. The $35 admission charge includes two drink tickets. Tickets are limited, but any still available on the day of the event will be offered at the door for $45.
