Goat Yoga Makes CMA Debut

Goat Yoga CMA Awards Brad Paisley Carrie Underwood

Goat yoga is the newest (and most adorable) workout trend. Last week, goats from Goat Yoga Nashville, right here in Williamson County, made their CMA debut when hosts Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley enjoyed a goat yoga session in Little Big Town’s dressing room.

We spoke with Goat Yoga Nashville owner, Melody Nash, about the goat’s adventures at Bridgestone Arena, where the CMAs took place last Wednesday.

Since the classes are at the farm, the goats don’t typically travel for classes let alone to an arena.

“Taking the goats to the arena was great. It was very busy and they pooped all the way to their dressing room,” Nash said.

In reflecting on the experience, Nash talks about her favorite moment, “Our favorite moment was when the goats jumped all over Carrie & Brad and relieved themselves all over Little Big Town’s dressing room.” She continues by saying, “Brad & Carrie were both really nice and grateful that we were so willing to help them out.”

Just last week, Tricia Yearwood stopped by Goat Yoga Nashville for a class. Watch for a future episode of Tricia’s Southern Kitchen where you can see a small sampling of a class.

For the winter, Goat Yoga Nashville has moved their classes into a tent with heaters. Looking to give a unique gift this holiday season, Goat Yoga Nashville offers gift certificates for classes. Visit their website for more information regarding class schedules.

The CMA Awards took place Wednesday night. Garth Brooks took home the Entertainer of the Year Award for the sixth time while Chris Stapleton won his second Album of the Year Award for From A Room: Volume 1. Former CMA Entertainer of the Year Taylor Swift was a presence at “The 51st Annual CMA Awards,” winning Song of the Year for “Better Man.”
