gfwc writing contest

The GFWC Spring Station Woman’s Club will be conducting a GFWC youth poetry and short story contest for school children in grades K-12. Guidelines and contest information has been distributed to each public and private school in Spring Hill and Thompson’s Station.

Local winners will receive a small cash prize and award certificate at a presentation ceremony (Date & Time TBD). Their winning entries will be sent to the GFWC of TN Music City District to compete against school children from all counties surrounding Nashville.

For home-schooled children, or children whose teacher might have decided not to participate, the guidelines and creative arts waiver form are available in a tab on their website’s homepage.  Entries may be mailed to the club’s address:  GFWC Spring Station Woman’s Club, P.O. Box 804, Spring Hill, TN  37174.

Entries without a signed creative arts waiver will not be eligible to compete.  Entries MUST be postmarked no later than November 20 to be eligible to compete. Please contact the club via their email address:  [email protected] if you need further information.
