Grace Christian Academy completed its second season as a TSSAA-sanctioned football program Friday.

The Lions (2-7, 2-6) lost on senior night 35-20 to Region 4-1A foe Fayetteville (8-2, 7-1) to end their season.

GCA’s record could have been very different if they could have scored just two more touchdowns. Five of the Lions’ losses came by a combined 16 points, and three of them were by just one point.

The brightest spot for GCA this season was a win on Oct. 7 against Mt. Pleasant. In that game, quarterback Austin Amor accounted for nine total touchdowns (5 pass, 4 run) and 482 total yards (226 passing, 116 rushing and 140 returning) in the Lions’ 77-60 victory.
