Johnson transferred to Grace Christian for his senior season after beginning his career at Providence Christian in Murfreesboro. During his senior season, Johnson averaged more than 16 points per game and shot 40% from 3-point range. Earlier this season, he surpassed the 1,000 point mark in GCA’s game against Nashville Christian. In the Lions’ first season in TSSAA, Johnson helped to lead Grace Christian to a 15-14 record with a 3rd place finish in District 11-A in both the regular season and the tournament. For his efforts, he was named to the District 11-A All-District team during the regular season.

“Jake and our other seniors have no idea of the solid ground work they have laid as we continue to grow and build our basketball program,” said GCA head coach Len McKnatt. “We are hoping they can all come back in a few years and be very proud of what they started. What Jake lacks in size (around 5’7), he makes up with in heart and grit. He will be successful in whatever endeavors he chooses to pursue because of his work ethic.”
