Garden & Gun Names Biscuit Love as Most Exciting New Restaurant

Biscuit Love

Garden & Gun compiled its list of the five most exciting new restaurants in the south. On that list includes Shaya- New Orleans, The  Farmer & the Larder-Brunswick, Georgia; The Dabney-Washington, DC; Sam Jones BBQ-Winterville, North Carolina and Biscuit Love in Nashville.

Owned by Karl and Sarah Worley from Franklin started Biscuit Love as a food truck often to be found at the Franklin Farmers Market, and opened a brick and mortar restaurant just one year ago in January of 2015.

“We try to reinterpret the classics in a way that’s just a little bit elevated,” Worley says. Garden & Gun says that Biscuit Love’s menu has many comforting options, complete with a “spread of old-fashioned beaten biscuits—the kind that were painstakingly folded into layers by cooks before the advent of baking powder. You won’t find those on many menus nowadays, but such is the owner’s devotion to biscuit tradition that he scours antique stores for biscuit brakes, the discontinued rollers that once helped bakers strong-arm air into biscuits to make them rise.” Read more from Garden & Gun here.
