Free Shelter Dogs for Veterans

The holidays are stressful for all of us but often more so for our military veterans. With this in mind the Williamson County Animal Control and Adoption Center at Claude Yates Drive has joined with the “Vets Adopt Pets” program. Active duty and military veterans can adopt pets at no charge.

The program provides a fee waiver for those interested once they provide proof of military status and meet shelter adoption requirements. This is just another way to honor the service given to our country and WCAC is happy to be a part of the program.

For more information about Vets Adopt Pets, contact Williamson County Animal Control and Adoption Center at (615) 790-5590 or stop by the center at 106 Claude Yates Dr., next to Franklin High School.  Adoptable animals can be viewed at www.adoptwcac.org or at the center from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, or 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturdays.
