Inspired by her 97-year-old grandmother and her own mom, Whitney began cooking at an early age. At twenty-two, she won the reality cooking show “Masterchef,” gaining the title of Fox’s 1st U. S. Masterchef. Soon afterward, Whitney obtained her degree, with an emphasis in nutrition, from The University of Southern Mississippi.

In New Southern Table, Whitney transforms recipes from her Southern roots, preserving flavors of traditional family dishes while offering the excitement of her own special touches. She offers a taste of her family table with dishes like PB&J Chicken Satay, Sweet Corn Grit Tamales, and much more. Using new techniques and cooking methods, Miller reimagines classic recipes and experiments with flavors from around the world, inspired by her travels since Winning “MasterChef.”

Whitney has also been featured across the globe in Southern cuisine cooking promotions in Tianjin and Shenzhen, China at The St. Regis hotels. She has shared her Southern table in Malaysia and South Africa as well. She has conducted cooking demonstrations alongside celebrity chefs such as Guy Fieri, Curtis Stone, and Buddy Valastro.

Her professional career includes developing blog posts and recipes for companies and magazines such as Big Green Egg, Tervis, Penobscot McCrum Potato Company, SousVide Supreme, Southern Living, Clean Eating, Self, and Flavors. She has appeared on Good Morning America and the FABLife show with Chrissy Teigen. She hosts satellite media tours for food and cookware companies.

She regularly judges food competitions such as the World Food Championships, B.I.O Special Events Wedding Cake competition alongside Duff Goldman, Taste of Gainesville, and Nashville Scene’s Iron Fork.

Regularly participating in volunteer work, Whitney has donated her speaking and cooking services to nonprofit organizations/events such as the Myasthenia Gravis Foundation and Tim Tebow Foundation Celebrity Golf Tournament, cooking for celebrities such as Tim Tebow, Duck Dynasty’s Willie, Jase, and Jep Robertson, Rascal Flatts band, Christian Ponder, and Master’s winner Bubba Watson. Raising money to feed the hungry, in February 2013 and 2014 she participated in Plant City, Florida’s United Food Bank charity fundraiser, conducting a cooking demonstration and contributing her services to their silent auction. In 2015, she donated her cooking services to be auctioned for the Redlands Christian Migrant Association fundraising event by Wish Farms.

And most recently, Whitney has served as the national spokesperson for Vidalia Onion Committee, celebrity fashion show panelists for Neiman Marcus CUSP, co-host for Daytime talk show, and food expert for product promotions.
