Watch Franklin Special School District Leaders Dance to “Can’t Stop the Feeling”

During its opening day celebration, Franklin Special School District welcomed National Hall of Fame Teacher and co-founder of the prestigious Ron Clark Academy Kim Bearden into the gym at Poplar Grove School, where over 700 employees awaited her inspirational message.

Following remarks by Director of Schools Dr. David Snowden, the FSSD Leadership Team, consisting department supervisors and school administrators, surprised the audience by flash mob dancing to Justin Timberlake’s “Can’t Stop the Feeling.”

Bearden then took the audience to tears as she described the struggle that every educator faces in balancing their personal lives and their professional duty to be a bright light for the children in their classrooms.  Her uplifting and motivational presentation reminded teachers and support staff of the powerful impact that they can have, despite the pressures and challenges of their profession.
