Update Alert 12:47 PM: Scene secure, no current threat following Berry Farms bank robbery attempt.
Franklin Police and the FBI are investigating an attempted bank robbery. At 10:45 am, the suspect entered the Franklin Synergy Bank at 40 Moss Lane. Once inside, he approached the teller counter and announced the robbery. The suspect, however, fled before receiving any money.
Police are seeking a white male suspect, 5’7″ with a medium build. The suspect was described as having tan, leathery skin and a white goatee. He was last seen wearing a blue and grey plaid flannel jacket, a yellow construction vest, and tan pants. The suspect is said to have noticeably yellow teeth in very poor condition. Surveillance photos of the suspect were not available at the time of this release.
