Detectives in Franklin are investigating after kayakers near the Chestnut Bend subdivision discovered a body in the Harpeth River at 8:20 am.
Preliminary identification of the deceased has been made but is not being released to the public, pending next of kin notifications. Foul play is not immediately apparent, but the body has been released to the Medical Examiner who will determine the Franklin man’s cause of death.
