In honor of the long-standing love affair between police and the doughnut, the Franklin Police Department has joined The Spirit of Blue Foundation and Krispy Kreme Doughnuts in a law enforcement fundraiser. Between now and July 31, Krispy Kreme will donate $1 to the Spirit of Blue Foundation for every two dozen doughnuts you buy.
SWAT and other officers will be at the Krispy Kreme store, located on 1733 Mallory Lane on Saturday July 26 from 9-11am for special demonstrations designed to entertain kids and enlighten their parents.
Franklin Police SWAT members will join Craig Morgan on stage at the Grand Ole Opry August 19 to receive the grant made possible by this fundraiser. The money will go towards the purchase of safety equipment for the team. Tickets to show are available online, and the Grand Ole Opry will donate $5.00 for every purchase using the promo code “SAFETY.”
