GIRLS SOCCER: Franklin, BGA, CPA headed to state

Hendersonville 1 at Franklin 3

The Franklin Lady Rebels defeated Hendersonville 3-1 Saturday to earn their first trip to the Class AAA state tournament in three years.

Sara Casey, Jessica Bissinger and Bella Black scored one goal apiece and Peyton DePriest added 2 assists.

The Lady Rebels’ defense has given up one goal in the last seven games.  The Rebel offense has been lead by Peyton DePriest, who has 25 goals and 12 assists in 15 games played.

Franklin (15-1-2), the District 11-AAA and Region 6-AAA champion, will face Tennessee High in the state quarterfinals at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Siegel Park in Murfreesboro.
