Made in TN will open on Small Business Saturday (November 25) in The Factory in Franklin, located at 230 Franklin Road, Franklin.
The new Tennessee centric gift store will occupy the space vacated this summer by Walker Creek Confections.
Owners Ilex and Sarah Pounders told us they wanted to bring their online store, which has been open for a year, to a brick and mortar location and share their passion for local products and food.
When looking for the right location, Ilex said they love the area and his wife works for a company in downtown Franklin so they were excited to have the opportunity to open their first storefront in Franklin.
Items you can expect to find at the store include Olive & Sinclair candy, Honest Coffee Roasters coffee beans and Williams Honey, which Made in TN is the exclusive retailer for.
The couple also opened High Note Gifts back in 2014, an online gift store featuring Nashville products and artisans. Ilex shared that the idea for the store began when he was the Director of Marketing for a local company. He was searching for thank you gifts to give to his clients and wanted to focus on local and unique items to the area. After becoming frustrated, Ilex began creating his own gift baskets which led to friends and family asking him to fashion them a basket as well and that’s how High Note Gifts was started.
