Today at the Franklin Farmers Market, there are five new items to purchase this week.  Fall has officially arrived and so has the fall produce along with some fall treats. Here is a list of five new items to purchase this week at the Franklin Farmers Market.

Fresh Baby Ginger
This baby Ginger is fresh picked and locally grown delivering the strongest ginger aroma that you will ever smell.  Available from Earth Advocate Research Farm and Rocky Glade Farm. Try this fresh ginger in hot tea with honey—you’ll be glad you did.

Turnip Greens
Kirkview Farm is delivering the most beautiful Turnip Greens for fall.

Pumpkin Rolls
Miss Karen’s famous pumpkin rolls are back and flying off the table. These fresh fall treats have been a market favorite for years. Find them now at the Norton Family Farms’ booth.

Cabbage
Basketball size cabbages from Rainbow Farm have been a crowd-stopping sight every Saturday at our farmers’ market. You’ll have to see them to believe them.

Sweet Potatoes
Freshly-dug and straight from the field, Colbert Farm sweet potatoes are filled with vitamin A and beta-carotene. Great for roasting, mashing, pies, or breads.

Invasion of the Scarecrows takes place on October 17

On Saturday October 17, 2015, scarecrows as far as the eye can see will invade the Franklin Farmers Market to bring you the freshest local produce, locally-raised meats, artisan cheeses, pastured eggs, fresh baked breads, and so much more. Come witness this fun-for-the-family event and see the Invasion of the Scarecrows with your very own eyes.

Franklin Farmers Market is located at The Factory in Franklin, 230 Franklin Road.  Hours of operation for the Farmers 8am-1pm.
