Flood Warning, Street Closed in Downtown Franklin

The National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Warning for Williamson County and Northern Hickman County until 6:45 p.m.

At 3:47 p.m. Williamson County Emergency Management reported several roads covered with water and water continuing to rise. Up to three inches of rain have already fallen and an additional one inch of rain is possible.

Some locations that will experience flooding include:
Franklin, Brentwood, Nolensville, Thompson`s Station, Fairview, Bon Aqua, Primm Springs, Lyles, Natchez Trace At Highway 96, Bucksnort, Triune, Pinewood, Leipers Fork and Nunnelly.

Franklin Police have shut down parts of 3rd Avenue and warned that the Harpeth River is nearing flood levels.

The rain may stop some this evening but will continue through tomorrow afternoon with occasional thunderstorms.
