Five Students Earn Perfect ACT Score

Earning a perfect ACT score is something few students in the nation can say they achieved, however Williamson County Schools is proud to report that five students from the district have scored a perfect 36 on their ACT.

Congratulations to the following students, pictured above. From left to right: Amy Ouyang, Ravenwood High; Margaret Overton, Brentwood High; Hill Duggan, Centennial High; Sarah Rosenthal, Ravenwood High and Rhett Britton, Franklin High (below left) achieved the impeccable score.

While the number of students earning a composite score of 36 varies from year to year, less than one-tenth of one percent of students who take the ACT earn a top score. With statistics like these, it makes the accomplishment of the five students even more impressive.

The ACT assesses students’ academic readiness for college and consists of tests in English, mathematics, reading and science. Each test is scored on a scale of 1-36, and a student’s composite score is the average of the four test scores.

As reported by Williamson Source the average score of WCS students is a 23.8
