Five Daughters Bakery

Opening at the end of 2015, Five Daughters Bakery has more than dough rising, with the Franklin location their first to open followed by a second location on 12th South, one might say they are quickly becoming a mainstay in our area.

Kevin Ramquist Five Daughters Bakery just announced the addition of veteran Nashville chef Kevin Ramquist has been hired on as creative director, reported Eater Nashville.

Those who frequented F. Scott’s Restaurant and Jazz Bar in Green Hills will remember Ramquist, who worked there for a total of nine years and served as the Executive Chef for the last three before the restaurants closure.

In his new role at Five Daughters Bakery, Ramquist will be working on new products to add to the new menu.

In a statement to Eater Nashville, Ramquist said,

“[Owner] Isaac [Meek] had been approaching me about working with him for a while, he really likes my style of cooking. And I really like Isaac, just a great human being, and his vision for Five Daughters. So I finally said yes. It just seemed right. It also allows me to not have to put in typical executive chef hours, but I can still be creative in the kitchen.”

Five Daughters Bakery has two locations, one of The Factory in Franklin and the other located on 12th Avenue South, Nashville. Known for their 100 layer donuts requiring two days of preparation. Their following began when they started selling donuts at the Franklin Farmers Market on Saturdays until they opened their brick and mortar location in Franklin. Continuing to offer innovative offerings of a paleo crusher, vegan donuts and the Quinn, a croissant like cinnamon roll, to the point of installing a Donut Cam to allow customers to see if their favorite treat is available.
