The grand opening of Chicken Salad Chick at 5050 Carothers Parkway in Franklin takes place Dec 5.
This is the fifth Nashville location for Chicken Salad Chick. Earlier this year, Chicken Salad Chick opened in Spring Hill.
On Monday, we stopped by to have a look and try the chicken salad. The menu is divided into four different types of chicken salad-traditional, savory, fruity and nutty, and spicy. If you don’t prefer chicken salad, you can select pimento cheese, which comes plain or spicy and egg salad. Side dishes include broccoli salad, grape salad, pasta salad, mac-n-cheese, and fresh fruit.
There are two green salads on the menu, a classic salad served with any scoop atop a bed of spring lettuce and a seasonal salad comprised of fresh greens, and season’s freshest fruits, cheeses, and crunchy toppings. Sandwich options include chicken salad BLT, pimento cheese BLT, turkey club, ad turkey pesto.
For kids ten and under, there is a selection of mac’ n cheese, turkey sandwich, pb& uncrustable, and a scoop of chicken salad.
The line formed out the door while we are there and the grand opening is expected to be the same. Seating for the restaurant is available for approximately 85 guests with more seating to be available on the small patio in warmer weather.

The Chicken Salad Chick concept, born in Auburn, was established in 2008 in the kitchen of founder, Stacy Brown. When Stacy discovered that the local county health department would not allow her to continue making and selling her delicious recipes out of her home kitchen, she overcame that obstacle by launching her first restaurant with the business expertise of her future husband and fellow founder, Kevin Brown.
