Lightning may have postponed it a day, but the wait for Brian Rector’s second win at Father Ryan was worth it Saturday.

The Fightin’ Irish led 23-9 at halftime Friday night against Clarksville Northeast when the game was postponed to Saturday at 3 p.m. After more storms delayed the game again in the third quarter, the clock finally ran out and gave Father Ryan a much-awaited 33-16 win.

The first two games for Rector at the helm of the Irish have been very successful, as they have outscored their opponents 81-22.

Those types of lopsided scores could be coming to an end soon, though, as Father Ryan enters the toughest part of its schedule, starting Friday against McCallie (1-1).
