Eight TSC Teams Advance to State Cup Quarterfinals

Eight teams from the Tennessee Soccer Club (TSC) have earned the right to advance to the boys Division I Tennessee State Cup Quarterfinals, to be held this weekend, Oct. 29-30 at the Mike Rose Soccer Park in Memphis, TN.

TSC’s teams from its U15, U16, U17, U18 and U19 age divisions — from both its Southeast Premier League and Tennessee State League —  will be competing for the State Cup. Eight teams will compete in each age group this weekend in the quarterfinal round. The four teams that remain standing in each age group will compete for the Championships the following weekend, Nov. 5-6 at Richard Siegel Park in Murfreesboro, TN.2000-elite-boys-tsc

As elite teams, those from the Southeast Premier League automatically qualify to compete in the quarterfinals. They represent the Southeast region and are from Tennessee, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina.

“I’m very happy we have representation in every age group and two teams in two of the age groups,” says Sandy Pollock, Director of Coaching for TSC. “Obviously, the competition in Tennessee is very good. We have a highly qualified coaching staff that has been working hard with their teams to prepare for this weekend, and I fully expect us to be successful in advancing our teams to the finals next week in every age group,” he adds.
