Eddie George, Peter Frampton Perform in Nashville this Weekend

Peter Frampton Performs for the First Time at the Schermerhorn 

On Sunday evening Peter Frampton will perform at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center as part of his RAW Acoustic Tour. Opening for Frampton will be his son Julian followed by Frampton and to close out the show will be co-host of Franklin’s Music City Pickers Gordon Kennedy.

Peter Frampton is one of rock music’s most celebrated artists and the man who pioneered the innovative “Talkbox” guitar sound. Sunday will be Frampton’s  first-ever appearance at the Schermerhorn. Over the course of a career spanning 45 years, this GRAMMY® winner and Musicians Hall of Famer has penned some of the most enduring songs and released one of the best-selling albums of all time, Frampton Comes Alive! Williamson County Resident and Former Titan Performs at Tennessee Repertory Show 

Eddie GeorgeFormer Titan Eddie George will star in Nashville Repertory Theatre‘s production of Lorraine Hansberry’s “A Raisin in the Sun,” which runs March 25 to April 15 in TPAC’s Andrew Johnson Theater.

The former running back is no stranger to performing arts as he played Billy Flynn in the Broadway production of Chicago back in 2016.

“A Raisin in the Sun” is an insightful American classic which made an immediate historical impact as the first play written by an African-American woman to be produced on Broadway. Other firsts for the play include being directed by Broadway’s first black director, Lloyd Richards. It won the New York Drama Critics Award for Best Play, making Hansberry the youngest American, first woman, and first African American to win the award.

This is not George’s first role with Nashville Rep, he also appeared in the production of “The Whipping Man” in 2015.
