FRANKLIN POLICE DEPARTMENT
Detectives investigating the incident at the Hyatt Place Hotel, in Franklin, that left two people shot believe that the shooting was an accident. The male occupant of the room was mishandling a pistol when he accidentally discharged it. The round went through his hand and into the buttocks of the female occupant of the room. The matter remains under investigation and it has not yet been determined if the man will face criminal charges.
