The Franklin Theatre will be offering Holiday movies throughout the month of December. Here is a listing of the movies that you and your family can enjoy this season. And with each ticket just $5, it’s a easy way to take the family out for an evening of entertainment.

Elf: Open on December 26th. After inadvertently wreaking havoc on the elf community due to his ungainly size, a man raised as an elf at the North Pole is sent to the U.S. in search of his true identity. Showtime information here. 

Home Alone: Opening on December 5th. An 8-year-old boy who is accidentally left behind while his family flies to France for Christmas must defend his home against idiotic burglars. Showtime information here.

It’s a Wonderful Life: Opening on December 8th.  An angel helps a compassionate but despairingly frustrated businessman (George Bailey)by showing what life would have been like if he never existed. Showtime information here. 

Special Showing of Elf with Storytime with Buddy the Elf-One Show Only on December 19th. Storytime returns to the Visitor Center in Downtown Franklin, Tennessee on December 19th at 12 pm. Start by watching the movie “Elf” at The Franklin Theatre at 10am followed by a meet ‘n’ greet at 11:30. Then bring the whole family and enjoy Buddy the Elf reading the story aloud. White Christmas-Opens on December 20th. Classic from 1954 featuring Bing Crosby. A successful song-and-dance team become romantically involved with a sister act and team up to save the failing Vermont inn of their former commanding general. Showtime information here.

Christmas Vacation –Opens on December 22nd.The Griswold family’s plans for a big family Christmas predictably turn into a big disaster. There will be a tacky Christmas sweater contest at each showing!
