Jake, has been by Bentley’s side for the last fifteen years. Jake made appearances with Bentley on several occasions including his first appearance at The Opry, numerous red carpets and Bentley’s Country Music Hall of Fame exhibit opening.

In Bentley’s latest album Black, he co-wrote a song with Luke Laird and Hillary Lindsey, “Can’t Be Replaced” where in the lyrics he mentions Jake. “For fifteen years right by my side – From a single man to three kids and a wife – Friends come and go, but when it comes to Jake –  There’s just some things that can’t be replaced.”

Jake who had just turned 15 years old had been battling cancer and undergoing treatment.
