Cracker Barrel has just announced a new concept that has Franklin ties. Â Holler & Dash, a new fast biscuit concept will be opening its first location in Alabama. Â 
With the help of  Franklin chef,Jason McConnell,owner of Red Pony,Cork and Cow,McConnell House and 55 South  McConnell has developed the menu for the new concept restaurant.
A first location is under construction in Homewood,Alabama. The Homewood location is now hiring for service and kitchen positions.
The idea is to stay true to southern heritage but bring the brand to urban cores and reach new audiences, according to a statement from Mike Chissler, Chief Operating Officer of Holler and Dash,reported AL.com.
On the Holler & Dash Facebook page,they state that “Chef Brandon Frohne is getting ready to take care of business (and biscuits). Are you ready, Homewood?”
Chef Brandon Frohne was previously the chef at Mason inside Loews Vanderbilt but parted ways with them back in August in 2015.
