Behind its biggest offensive game of the season, Christ Presbyterian Academy moved on to the Class 3A second round on Friday.

The Lions (5-6), the third seed out of Region 5-3A, scored their most points in a game this season and beat the Region 6-3A second seed Camden Central Lions 51-30 on the road.

After not playing up to the level CPA is used to seeing through the first half of the season, the Lions have found their stride over the last five weeks, especially offensively.

CPA has scored 28 or more points in each of the last five games (4-1 record) and 40 or more in three of those contests.

The Lions will have to keep their hot offense rolling in their second round matchup. They will travel to take on the undefeated Stratford Spartans (11-0), the top seed out of Region 5-3A.

It will be the second time the two teams have squared off this season. In their first matchup, Stratford won a defensive struggle 7-6. It was the first loss for CPA inside of league play since 2011.

The Spartans had no issue in the first round, beating Cheatham County 42-6 on Friday.
