CPA Arts Launches Salt & Light Studio

CPA Arts

CPA Arts announces a new opportunity for high school students this fall: the Salt & Light Studio. Established to bring students into relevant, engaging connections with professional arts culture-shapers, the Salt & Light Studio provides a forum to grow from others’ artistic and spiritual journeys, while finding encouragement to listen for God’s still, small voice. An important aspect of the Salt & Light Studio is to provide students with an opportunity to create and execute an event of their choosing to positively affect an aspect of culture at their school through their own creativity.

Congratulations to this year’s members selected by application: Spencer Barnabee, Adam Cole, Mattie Cox, Savanna Dohler, Ashely Durard, Stephen Gage, Nathan Gauchet, Mary Clare Gurley, Glory Guy, Kendall Jones, Carli Jo Kickert, Adelaide Leonard, Lorelei McDaniel, Will Peters, Emily Graham Pistole, Mackenzie Roberts, Joey Stusek, and Gwynneth Walker.cpa-arts

On Wednesday, September 28, the Studio was honored to have as the first guest artist Erik Lokkesmoe, producer of the film Last Days in the Desert, and principal of the film marketing company Different Drummer which lifts up important dialogue around faith and art. A former political speechwriter and communications director, Lokkesmoe’s company has promoted more than 150 blockbusters, award-winning indies, best-sellers, and top-rated TV shows. Some of their projects include National Geographic’s Saints and Strangers, The Story of God (with Morgan Freeman), Same Kind of Different as Me, and Selma.
