Concert Benefiting GraceWorks to Feature Austin Brothers

A little two-steppin’ and toe-tappin’ can add up to a lot of help for the expansion hopes of GraceWorks Ministries.

A concert Nov. 6 at The Franklin Theatre will feature the Austin Brothers’ modern twist on country classics. Proceeds will go toward GraceWorks’ plan for a new and larger building to expand capacity, add resources to aid county residents in need and provide programs developing self-sufficiency.

Along with State Sen. Jack Johnson on guitar, the Austin Brothers feature Tony Paoletta on steel guitar, Steve Holland on drums, Shawn Pody on bass and Charlie Richards on lead vocals. Their music ranges from 1940s Bob Wills to 1990s George Strait.

Scheduled for the opening acts are acoustic performances by Savannah Lynne and Jackson Nance. Lynne, who performed recently at the Williamson County Fair, was named Teen Female Country Artist of the Year last year by the Indie Music Channel. Nance, 15, is described as a combination of southern rock, blues, country, and soul.

Concert sponsor AT&T is donating tickets to firefighters and men and women in law enforcement. Sponsorships are also available by contacting Kristi Sylvester at [email protected].

The concert begins at 7 p.m. and doors open at 6 p.m. Tickets range from $35 to $50. Tickets are available at www.franklintheatre.com.
