Columbia State Recognizes Students at 50th Annual Student Honors Convocation

More than 120 Columbia State Community College students were recently honored for excellence in academics, leadership and service at the 50th Annual Student Honors Convocation.

  • Kyra Newton (Franklin) was selected to the All-USA Community and Junior College Academic Team, as well as being recognized for Who’s Who Among Students in American Junior Colleges and receiving both the Academic Discipline Award in Education and the Academic Excellence Award for maintaining a 3.9-4.0 GPA.

  • Hillary Allen (Brentwood) was selected to the All-USA Community and Junior College Academic Team, received the Carolyn Allred/Lewis Moore Outstanding Student Award, was recognized for her efforts as the Phi Theta Kappa president, received an Academic Excellence Award for maintaining a 3.9-4.0 GPA, as well as being recognized for Who’s Who Among Students in American Junior Colleges
  • Grayson Bridges (Thompson’s Station) received an Academic Discipline Award in English
  • Savannah Fiedor (Brentwood) received an Academic Excellence Award for maintaining a 3.9-4.0 GPA
  • Karlton Turcios (Thompson’s Station) received the Academic Discipline Award for American History
  • Jeff Liu (Nolensville) received the Academic Discipline Award in Mathematics
  • Bria Thatcher (Thompson’s Station) received the Academic Discipline Award in Business Management.
