Williamson County CASA Reveals Playhouse, Find Out How You Can Win it

Each day, Williamson County CASA (WCCASA) advocates for abused or neglected children in the court system, and utilizes its 80-plus volunteer force to ensure that each child receives a stable family to return home to each night.

To help raise awareness of WCCASA’s mission and secure funding for its vision, the local nonprofit, with the help of the Franklin Firefighters’ Charities, has built a one-of-a-kind mini home for the Fourth Annual Playhouse Raffle.

As part of the fundraiser, one lucky member of the community is given the chance to win the playhouse.

WCCASA has also partnered with Puckett’s Gro. & Restaurant and Puckett’s Boat House in downtown Franklin to help sell raffle tickets. Throughout the month of September, diners at these restaurants can purchase raffle tickets for $10 and they will match the remaining $10 for each ticket.

The raffle winner will be announced at the downtown Franklin Pumpkinfest on Saturday, October 29. Prior to the event, the playhouse will be on display on WCCASA’s front lawn of First Bank for most of September and October and will be moved the day of the drawing to Pumpkinfest on 3rd Ave S. in the Church of the City’s children’s area.

Last year’s fundraiser helped secure over $36,000 for crucial funding for the organization, and it helped raise important awareness of WCCASA’s mission to advocate for local youth who otherwise have no voice. This year the goal is to exceed last year’s giving which would help serve additional children.

On October 29th, CASA will draw the winning ticket at the close of Pumpkin Fest. Tickets will be available that day and additional drawings for fun children’s prizes will be held during the day.  This drawing brings needed funds and attention to the plight of abused children in Williamson County.

Williamson County CASA is an organization that advocates for the best interests of children in the judicial system, and works with volunteers to provide a permanent home for each one. The non-profit independently trains its volunteer members to investigate each situation, and report findings to the court.
