Brentwood Falls Short to Last Minute Field Goal

Brentwood High School

Williamson County Football

Brentwood High School fell to Christ Presbyterian Academy (CPA) 14-17 after a big play made by CPA’s JR Osborn.  The Kicker hit a 36-yard field goal with 1:16 remaining in the game to put the Lions ahead of the Bruins for the win.

With the score tied at 14-14 at the end of the third, the match-up was neck and neck for the win.  After Osborn dropped a return, WR Austin Hassenpflug had recovered the fumble.  However, after further review, the ruling on the field was determined that CPA would gain possession of the ball.

Losing 36 graduating seniors this past year, Brentwood will be building up its new program with head coach Mike Woodward.   Adding to the list of firsts this year for the Bruins, is a brand new field.

Brentwood will break-in the new field next Thursday against Blackman High for the MyTV 30 game at 7:30 p.m.

CPA will be at Hillwood next week kicking off at 7:00 p.m.
