Boudreaux Brothers Hold Grand Reopening

Friday night on Main Street was hopping with music, art scene activities and the grand reopening of the formerly Papa Boudreaux’s  now called Boudreaux Brother’s.

With free beignets on the sidewalk, the excitement was shared by the family and patrons alike.

Moving to the area  after hurricane Katrina. Papa Boudreaux’s brought the missing taste of New Orleans to Santa Fe, Tennessee. And then later his sons opened a location in downtown Franklin.
It was ten years ago, Papa CJ opened the Santa Fe location. Papa is the roots of the New Orleans heritage. He was born there and later moved to Tennessee. Guy began working alongside and playing with his dad’s recipes creating renditions that captured the family recipes, New Orleans staples, and flavors that would capture a variety of bold and delicious flavors for just about anyone.

Papa Boudreaux’s  opened Franklin in 2011, and Guy continued to develop and add to the menu and cuisines. Guy, Brad, and Erin ran and operated the Franklin  location and later that year became sole owners and proprietors of the Franklin establishment. In the course over five years, the locations have an underlining resemblance due to the family recipes, however, have grown apart with each location offering an unforgettable experience of great New Orleans cuisines and atmospheres. And now, Boudreaux Brothers has made addition to their menu  of salads, crab legs and grits.

Boudreaux Brothers  has also developed a hot sauce which will be bottled and sold later this year. “Named the Boudreaux Brothers Gospel Sauce, because it makes you call out to the Lord.” says Bader.

Each bottle will have a unique QR code which customers can scan for a Bible verse. The Bader family felt as if most other hot sauces reference Diablo and with their hot sauce they wanted to reference something more positive.

“There was often confusion with the two locations of Papa Boudreaux’s,” said  Bader. “We would get a call for a reservation and then find out they went to the Santa Fe location.”

The goal of the name change is to alleviate confusion for customers, allow both places to continue to grow and develop.
