BNA Now Offers Nonstop Flight to San Francisco

It is now easier to travel to San Francisco as Nashville International Airport (BNA) has added nonstop service to “the city by the bay” via Alaska Airlines.

Tickets are on sale now, and service to San Francisco International Airport (SFO) begins Sept. 5, 2017.

“All of us in the Nashville community were excited when Alaska Airlines began service at BNA in 2015, providing the first year-round, nonstop service to Seattle and the great Northwest,” said Rob Wigington, president and CEO of the Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority. “This additional service to the Bay Area will be a huge added benefit for our business community, as well as for our leisure travelers. We look forward to Alaska Airlines continuing to grow and expand in the Nashville market.”

In Dec. 2016, Alaska Airlines announced the acquisition of Virgin America, opening up the opportunity for growth and expansion in each airline’s existing markets. Alaska Airlines is now the fifth largest airline in the United States.

BNA is currently served by 12 airlines and offers 440 daily flights. Nashville International Airport provides nonstop air service to more than 50 destinations.
