Boyd Mill Farm to Throw Blackberry Jam Music Festival

Based on a firm belief that “music helps the berries grow,” Boyd Mill Farm will host the 11th Blackberry Jam Music Festival on Saturday, June 28th.

Featuring 12 artists from the Middle Tennessee area and beyond, the festival will have activities for children and two stages with music starting at noon and going until 10 p.m. Special children’s shows will be on the main porch stage from noon until 2 p.m. A second covered stage will be set up to help patrons and instruments stay out of the sun as the day goes on, but no additional acts will play. The event will open its doors at 11:30 a.m. and shows are scheduled to go until about 10 p.m.

The Musical Petting Zoo, a place to get up close and personal with some acoustic instruments, has been a big hit with the kids in the past and will be at the jam again this year. There will also be face painting, storytelling and traditional games as part of the expanded kids area.

Dogs on leashes are allowed at the event.

Tickets are $15 at the gate or you can purchase tickets online until 10 a.m. the day of the event (June 28th) for just $10. Proceeds from the event go to benefit the Hard Bargain Association, a local non-profit organization which preserves the Hard Bargain neighborhood by rehabbing existing homes, building quality affordable housing, and enriching lives.
