Tucked away on 320 Fourth Avenue North, across from the cemetery, in downtown Franklin is Bittersweet Primitives.

Housed in a historic, several-hundred-year-old home, Debbie Miller opened the decor store in 2013.

Bittersweet Primitives 2Bittersweet sells both antiques and reproduction home décor and furniture. Miller calls it a “clean, New England look” with some rustic pieces thrown in.

“This is a dream and something I’ve wanted to do for years,” Miller said.

Business is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. from Wednesday through Saturday.

The store is articulately designed and set up like a highly decorated home with all the pieces arranged just how they would look in your own home.

For those who love antiques or are just looking for that unique, one-of-a-kind piece to add to your home, Bittersweet Primitives is a must stop.
