The Spring Hill Raiders, opened defense of their 2016 Class AA baseball championship by routing Nolensville 14-4 in the opening round of the District 12-AA tournament.
Action was light due to heavy rains in the area as many district tournament games that were scheduled to begin Thursday were pushed back due to the weather.
Spring Hill improved to 31-2 with the win, and will now face the winner of the Cascade-Giles County game in the second round of the tournament.
Nolensville (2-25) fell into the losers bracket, and was slated to play today against the Cascade-Giles County loser, unless weather pushed the game back.
