Baseball Roundup: Ravenwood Edges Independence

High School baseball

Ravenwood stunned District 11-AAA rival Independence Thursday in high school baseball action, taking a 3-1 victory at home. The Raptors evened their season record at 12-12 with the victory, while the Eagles were denied their 20th win of the season, falling to 19-7.

In other action involving teams from Williamson County, Christ Presbyterian Academy stopped Grace Christian Academy, 6-2. CPA is now 19-5 for the year, while GCA dropped to 13-11.

Spring Hill continues to roll on in its quest for an unbeaten season. The Raiders blasted Columbia Academy, 16-1, and now stand 26-0 for the year.

Fairview split a doubleheader with Hickman County, winning 7-3 and losing 2-0 in the second game. The Yellow Jackets are 8-14 for the year.

Franklin High suffered a lopsided loss against Dickson County, 13-4, as the Rebels are now 11-13 this season.

Page was shut out by Forrest, 7-0.

Battle Ground Academy thumped Zion Christian 10-1, as the Wildcats inched closer to the .500 mark at 10-11-1.

Brentwood Academy blanked Father Ryan, as the Eagles improved to 13-8.
