Baseball roundup: Independence rips Henry County, 22-2

Independence’s bats came to life in a big way in the Jim Painter Classic Thursday.

The Eagles erupted for 22 runs in trouncing the Henry County Patriots, 22-2.

In other baseball action involving Williamson County schools, Christ Presbyterian Academy, playing in the IMG National Classic, edged Georgetown Prep, 7-6.

Brentwood dropped a 7-3 decision to Beech, while Lewis County edged Franklin High, 5-4. Spring Hill shut out Summertown, 5-0, and Lipscomb Academy got past Nolensville, 6-4.
