Baseball Roundup: Brentwood downs Franklin, 8-1

The Brentwood Bruins knocked off rival Franklin, 8-1, Monday in high school baseball play involving Williamson County foes.
The Bruins improved to 14-6 overall with the convincing victory, while the Rebels dropped to 10-8 on the season.
Independence edged Summit, 6-5, in another intra-county battle from Monday. The Eagles boosted their record to 17-3 for the season, while Summit dropped to 12-7.
Two other Williamson County teams posted lopsided shutout wins Monday. Grace Christian routed Mount Pleasant, 12-0, and Christ Presbyterian thumped Cascade, 13-0. Grace Christian improved to 10-7 this season, while CPA pushed its mark to 15-4.
Ravenwood downed Station Camp, 10-3, as the Raptors evened their season record at 9-9.
Spring Hill continues to roll, downing the Page Patriots, 8-2. The Raiders are now 21-0 on the season.
In other action, Marshall County topped Nolensville, 6-1, Dickson County edged Centennial 7-4, and East Hickman blanked Fairview, 2-0.
