Baseball Roundup: BGA Takes Doubleheader Sweep

Battle Ground Academy picked up a pair of wins Wednesday at the expense of Ezell-Harding. The Wildcats took the first game 1-0 in a pitchers duel, and then got the bats going in the second game, posting a 9-1 victory. BGA is now 9-11-1 with the doubleheader sweep.

In other games involving squads from Williamson County, Brentwood High split a doubleheader with Siegel, taking game one, 5-3, but falling to the Stars 5-2 in the nightcap. The Bruins are now 18-7 for the year.

Franklin High split a twinbill with Dickson County, winning the first game 2-1, but falling in the second contest, 7-4. The Rebels are now 11-12 on the year.

Independence improved to 19-6 as the Eagles topped county rival Ravenwood, 6-2. The Raptors dropped to 11-12 this season. Centennial posted a 3-0 shutout over county rival Summit to even its record at 11-11. Summit fell to 14-10.

In a doubleheader involving county rivals, Page swept Nolensville, winning 10-0 and 3-1. The Patriots are now 6-16 for the year, while the Knights dipped to 2-21.

CPA downed Clarksville Academy, 6-1, as the Lions ran their season record to 18-5.
