The nominees for the 2016 Academy Awards were announced early Thursday morning. Nominees span a range of movies but The Revenant and Mad Max: Fury Road racked up nominees, with The Revenant receiving 12 nominations and Mad Max receiving 10.
Here are some of the nominees. The 88th Academy Awards will air Sunday, February 28th at 6pm on ABC, hosted by comedian Chris Rock.
