Seven high-end vehicles valued at approximately $671,000 were stolen this past weekend from Walker Chevrolet, 3940 S. Carothers Pkwy.
Officers were summoned to the business just before 6:00 Monday morning after an arriving employee found that a glass door into the business had been shattered. Once inside the business, thieves obtained keys and key fobs that started seven vehicles, including a Corvette valued at approximately $150k. It appears that portions of the fence were cut to gain access to the property and to drive those seven vehicles away.
Surveillance video indicates that the heist happened at about 9:50 Sunday morning. The Department is not releasing any video at this time.
Franklin Police Detectives are working with police in Fayetteville, where similar thefts were committed at two dealerships in that city, Saturday. There is a cash reward for information that helps lead to an arrest in this case.
