Soar Adventure Tower is the first ropes course of its kind in North America and its opening right here in Franklin located at 3794 Carothers Parkway.  Grand Opening Date has been set for August 15th, 2015.

Owner, Kevin Vanderkolk, who recently retired as the mascot for the Milwaukee Bucks for the last 15 years, moved to Franklin just over a year ago with his wife and five children to open the ropes course. Vanderkolk stated, “he felt like Franklin needed outdoor entertainment.”

Here are five facts that you may not know about Soar Adventure.

1. Soar Adventure technology was awarded the Bavarian State Prize 2011 at the International Trade Crafts Fair in Munich. The Bavarian state prize for outstanding creative and technical achievements in the trade sector is designed to find new innovations and awards outstanding ideas and solutions in the areas of handicrafts and technical crafts.

2. Safety is very important. Conventional belay systems in ropes courses and arial adventure parks allow climbers to voluntarily or involuntarily completely detach themselves from the safety line.

The SAFE LINK SSB® ensures that the climber is never detached from the safety line. Once attached, the interconnected carabiners can only be opened one at a time.

3. Soar Adventure Franklin has a custom theme with a real drum set that you can play on the  ropes course. There are also musical notes on the course as well. You  can even ride a bike across a wire. For the thrill seekers- there will be a free fall area. At the very top of the tower, there will be a cross fit area.

4. Night time climbing will be available as the course will be outfitted with lights. Perfect for that after school activity or late night adventure. Beginning on August 20th, Soar Adventure will be hosting live music events from 6pm-9pm that will continue throughout the fall.

5. You can purchase a membership to make climbing affordable. One time climbing prices are $45 for adult, $40 for youth, and $30 for children.  Prices are reduced if you purchase a membership.

Soar Adventure is a course for ages from 3 up to adult.  There will be a ground level climbing area for kids ages 3-7 where  the parent can easily walk along with their children.  Birthday parties will also be available for parties up to 12 guest.
