5 Alternative Trick-or-Treat Spots and Halloween Festivities

Multi-ethnic children dressed in Halloween costumes

While you may have your favorite neighborhoods in mind, check out these 5 alternative places where you and your family can trick-or-treat this Halloween.

Hincheyville Halloween1.Hincheyville
An annual event in the historic Hincheyville neighborhood in downtown Franklin, this is an ideal spot for the young and old alike to go trick or treating. Many of the homes are themed with wild decorations and homeowners in costume. In the past, we have seen Pirate Ships, a KISS House complete with a live cover band, The Addams Family, Alice in Wonderland, Wizard of Oz, and more. Top that off with the fact that Franklin’s Finest will be there keeping an eye out and handing out treats and badges to the kids and it makes for a wonderful evening!  Franklin Police will close West Main Street and Fair Street to vehicle traffic between 7th and 11th Avenues from 5pm-9pm for trick-or-treaters Monday, October 31. The Franklin Police and Fire Departments will have a command post at West Main St. & 7th Ave, and will be handing out candy and glow necklaces to children to make them safer by increasing their visibility.
