4 Rug Trends to Try in 2017

Rugs are incredibly versatile and many are finding that they prefer to make a rug the focal point of a room, as opposed to wall-to-wall carpet.

Here are some rug trends we are seeing in 2017.

Stair Runners – Hardwood on your staircase can be tricky if you have children.  You might have to remind them to not wear socks as they race down the stairs in the morning.  Another solution is to install a stair runner. You can choose from a variety of colors and patterns. Instead of getting a pre-cut runner, you can customize it for your home at McCalls Carpet One by selecting one of their carpets, they will cut and bound the runner to your specifications.

McCalls Carpet OneCarpet Tiles– The most used application for carpet tiles is in playrooms or a basement area. With carpet tiles, instead of replacing an entire rug, you simply select the soiled tile to replace. Carpet tiles make your rug customizable when you select your colors and patterns that you combine.

Geometric Patterns-Homeowners have been leaning toward patterns for rugs.  From bold colorful geometric shapes to the classic oriental rug, they all have one thing in common-pattern. Vintage Moroccan rugs have become a collectible item for homeowners as well.

By doing so, it gives your room more dimension and cuts back on expenses when you can purchase a smaller rug vintage rug.
