During a reverse prostitution sting Friday, Franklin Police Flex Officers and Vice Detectives charged several suspects in a “John” sting. Utilizing an Internet site frequented by Johns and prostitutes, undercover officers arranged to meet four suspects seeking sex for hire. Each showed up at an undisclosed Franklin hotel and offered undercover officers cash for sex. All suspects were charged with Patronizing Prostitution, and are due in court 05/12/2016 at 1:00 pm.

Prostitution is not a victimless crime, and is often connected to other serious offenses.

Johns have no regard for the harm they do to a community, said Chief Deborah Faulkner. We will do all we can to detect, arrest, and convict anyone engaged in sex for money – both prostitutes, and Johns.”

Charged today with Patronizing Prostitution were:

Timothy Rueter of Wheaton, IL
Robert Saine of Nashville
Marco Vasquez of Franklin
