New York Times bestselling author Robert Hicks announced he will again host Seriously Seersucker, an event that gives a nod to the truly Southern summer lifestyle, at the beginning of seersucker season on Saturday, June 10 on the lawn of O’More College of Design to benefit the Student Scholarship Fund.
Like New Orleans, where seersucker suits, cocktails, and seersucker parties were all first invented, it’s an occasion to have fun — music, dance, food, cocktails.For some, it’s an opportunity to wear beloved seersucker one more time this season. For others, it’s an excuse to finally fill in that missing gap in your wardrobe, to be daring and Southern, no matter whence you hail.
Seriously Seersucker will be held on the grounds of O’More College of Design located at 423 South Margin Street. The event starts at 6 p with a toast by host Robert Hicks followed by dinner and dancing. Individual tickets to the event cost $175 per person and can be purchased online.Â
