Two local high school bands placed in the top 12 of the 37th Annual Music City Invitational, held Oct 24th at McGavock High School in Nashville
Brentwood High School and Father Ryan High School bands both placed in the final rounds. Brentwood High School came in 3rd overall and received the Overall Music Performance Trophy. Father Ryan placed second, after a tie break and received the Percussion Challenge Trophy and the Visual Performance Trophy.

The Father Ryan High School Band also just competed in the Bands of America Atlanta Super Regional over Halloween weekend and finished 5th in class AA behind defending National Champion Tarpon Springs. They fell short of making the Final Round.
